Växjö University is a rapidly expanding centre of knowledge. With 14,000 students and 1,000 employees in the form of teachers, researchers or administrative personnel, it is one of the large seats of learning in south Sweden.

Research at Växjö University spans over a wide range of subjects, for instance Humanities, Social Sciences, and Technology, and includes a number of well-established research fields, for example Labour Market Policy, Entrepreneurship, History, Migration, and Sociology, as well as Forest-, Wood- and Bioenergy Technology.

At present research education is available in 22 subjects and has a total of 250 students.
