School of Social Sciences
We offer eight different educational programmes in Swedish, six educational programmes in English, and several single subject courses for our 2000 students, within the subjects of:
- Media and Communication Studies
- Sociology
- Political Science
- Geography
- Physical Geography
- Human Geography
- Social Psychology
- Psychology
- Peace and Development Studies
Many of our courses have an international profile and are held in English, for the benefit of Swedish and foreign students. We are in contact with several universities both within and outside of Europe and approximately 100 students take part in international exchanges each year. In the autumn of 1999 we started our Ph D programme in sociology and in the autumn of 2000 we introduced our Ph D programme in political science. The School of Social Sciences have approximately 110 people employed.
